Confidential Resources
Sometimes you need to talk to someone who won’t share what you tell them with anyone else. Confidential resources can provide support, information, and a space to process your experience without any obligation to report or take action.
Confidential resources are professionals who are not required to share information with OCRC or anyone else, except in very limited circumstances (such as an immediate threat to your safety or someone else’s, or mandatory reporting of child abuse). They can help you understand your options, connect you with support, and simply listen.
Speaking with a confidential resource does not create a report or start any formal process. You remain in control of your information and your choices.

That’s okay. You can speak with any confidential resource without it triggering a report or investigation. They can help you understand your options so you can make an informed decision about what, if anything, you want to do next.
If you later decide you want to connect with OCRC, confidential resources can help you prepare for that conversation, too.
