The Smith community comes together for events throughout the year. From the first Rally Day in 1876, to Julia Child Day and the Sherrerd Teaching Prizes, begun in 2004, the college's annual events honor our students, faculty and alumnae for their accomplishments; bring families to campus for a taste of college life; and give students an opportunity to learn, reflect or just have fun.

With an eye toward media literacy, we invite you to a panel featuring a conversation with Smith College government professor Howard Gold and journalists in various roles that include editor, reporter, and host.
