Submit an SAQ Obituary

The Smith Alumnae Quarterly welcomes obituaries written by family members, friends, classmates, and other alums. If you do not wish to use this form, you may email your information to classnotes@smith.edu.

Please note the following:

SAQ obituaries are a maximum of 100 words, which includes all text.

These very brief notices are intended to share a memory and notify the Smith community. Refer to the obituary section of our current issue for examples.

We are unable to reprint newspaper obituaries, and we do not run photos.

All obituaries are subject to editing.

There is a lead time of up to four months between submission and publication to allow all obituaries to be thoroughly fact-checked, edited, laid out, and proofread within our overall production cycle.

Longer tributes and photos can be submitted to class-specific websites, class Facebook pages, and class newsletters. Please visit the Classes, Clubs & Groups webpage for more information.
