- Single Topic Review Workshops
Material will be presented on the following topics, with time for practice:
- Basics of Lines and Simultaneous Equations
- Logarithms and Exponents
- Trigonometric Functions
- Quadratics
- Differentiation
- Integration
- Workshop series on topics for standardized tests (GRE, MTEL, etc.)
Given enough demand, this set of workshops can be run for those interested in reviewing some basic math skills that arise when studying for the Graduate Record Exams (GRE) or the MTEL (Massachusetts Teacher Exam for Licensure). This is not a GRE or MTEL review, but we review topics that are included on the GRE and typically show up on standardized tests.
For a list of topics you should review, see here. We recommend that you buy a book of practice problems and come to the Spinelli Center once a week to check in with a tutor about your math practice and ask questions.
Here are some workshop topics that we've done in the past, and if there is sufficient demand, we would be happy to offer any of them again. We are also happy to customize these topics for an individual tutoring session, for a particular class, or to coordinate the workshop schedule to match a particular course schedule.
