June 29 Weekly CIRT Campus Update

Dear students, staff and faculty:

Below, please find important campus, regional and national updates from the COVID-19 Incident Response Team (CIRT).

Campus Status

Over the past seven days, there have been zero positive cases of COVID-19 reported through the on-campus campus screening program. For more data on the screening program, please visit Coronavirus Screening.

NEW! Updated Summer Guidelines

Smith College is operating under summer COVID-19 guidelines. We have new and additional guidance to share: 

• The college no longer requires that masks be worn outdoors. We welcome anyone who wishes to wear a mask to continue to do so. Masks must continue to be worn indoors regardless of vaccination status.
• As of July 1, mask usage indoors will be welcomed, but not required. Food may now be served at indoor events.

PolicyPath App Discontinued

Smith is no longer using the PolicyPath app for reporting symptoms and receiving test results; community members may uninstall the app from their devices. COVID-19 test results will be delivered by email.

Community Forums

We will continue to hold community forums through the summer. The upcoming June 16 forum will also include more information about our planning for the fall semester. We look forward to seeing you at meetings on the following dates:
