Illana Post Raia ’90, founder and CEO of Être—a platform that provides early mentorship opportunities to girls—aims to deliver just that to the female leaders of tomorrow with her new book, The Epic Mentor Guide: Insider Advice for Girls Eyeing the Workforce from 180 Boss Women Who Know.
Featuring advice from astronauts, news anchors, engineers, and many other professionals at the top of their game, the book answers questions from girls about their dream jobs and industries. Extending an extra helping hand, every woman in the book also invites would-be mentees to reach out to them directly via social media. “They remembered what it felt like on their first day of work,” Raia says. “This is a pipeline that will grow with today’s girls.”
