This weekend more than 300 families will arrive in Northampton for Smith College’s annual Family Weekend celebration, where they will reunite with their students to enjoy fun games, scenic tours, engaging lectures, and so much more.

Starting on Friday, Oct. 23, and running through Sunday, Oct. 25, Family Weekend gives friends and families of Smithies a taste of life on campus by participating in a range of events that include trivia nights, stargazing on the roof of McConnell Hall, touring the botanic garden, apple cider pressing with CEEDS, a montage performance hosted by the Department of Music, and mehndi night with EKTA, Smith’s South East Asian Student Association.

“[It’s] such a fun moment in the fall semester,” says Tamra Bates, associate dean of student affairs and director of student engagement.“I love [to see] families reuniting with their students, friends, and families, so excited to be back on campus [and] looking forward to spending time together.”
