Commencement and Reunion? There’s an App for That

The Smith Commencement and Reunion app, developed by the Office of Alumnae Relations, is going to make it easier to navigate the myriad of events planned for both Commencement and Reunion.

“The app will give parents, students and alumnae the most up-to-date information about Commencement and Reunion right on their mobile devices, ensuring a great experience over the weekends,” says Jennifer Chrisler, vice president for alumnae relations and executive director of the Alumnae Association.

In addition to having the weekend’s schedule at their fingertips, users will be able to create a custom schedule based on their interests and instantly share comments and photos over a variety of social media. Lists of speakers and of alumnae registered for Reunion are available, as well as last-minute updates and a message board.

The Smith Reunion and Commencement app is available for Apple, Android and Blackberry devices. After downloading, use the following information for your initial login:

Username: “Smith” and your class year (e.g., Smith2009, Smith1989, etc.)

Password: Reunion2014

“We really hope the app will help generate connections and conversations between alumnae, students and families who are on campus,” says Chrisler.
