Remote and On-Campus Experiences Offered for Summer 2021
Explore your academic interests while learning more about yourself. Join other motivated high school students who want to be engaged, get inspired and expand their experiences both in and out of the classroom. Whether you choose to apply for a remote learning option or the on-campus experience, you will be a part of a supportive community led by Smith faculty and staff and supported by our undergraduate students. Or take advantage of our year-round remote programs, including Precollege Community and Precollege Crash Courses. All programs are for young women, female-identified or gender-nonconforming students who will be entering grades 9, 10, 11 or 12 in fall 2021.
Precollege Programs COVID-19 Safety Plan
As of May 27, 2021, all members of the Smith community are required to be vaccinated before returning to campus. Smith College’s COVID-19 Incident Response Team (CIRT) has determined that for the safety of our community, all Precollege Program participants, staff and faculty must be fully vaccinated prior to arrival on campus this summer. We are updating our summer operating modes and safety protocols based on recent state guideline changes that require us to take into account the vaccination status of everyone living on campus over the summer. We will share our updated COVID-19 Safety Plan for Smith Precollege Programs as soon as we can. The on-campus Summer Precollege Program experience is being developed in the spirit of Smith’s COVID-19 Culture of Care and in keeping with local, state and federal guidelines. We will continue to update information leading up to our summer programs.
