Important COVID-19 Information
At this time we are preparing to run the 2020 Precollege Programs on the Smith College Campus. We will update this site and reach out to all applicants if anything changes.
Smith College Summer Programs continues to closely monitor the COVID-1 situation and prioritize the health and safety of our community. The college will continue to rely on information from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the World Health Organization and the U.S. Department of State to guide our decision making. Health and safety are at the forefront of all decisions we make.
For updates on Smith’s response to the COVID-19 outbreak, please visit the Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) page.
In the event that our programs are canceled, a full refund will be issued, less the application fee.
Families with students traveling to our precollege programs should monitor local travel restrictions, as well as the U.S. State Department website, for updates. We urge families and participants to consider insurance that covers cancellation or change in travel plans.
Students who are not able to come to Smith Precollege Programs as a result of travel or visa restrictions enacted by the U.S. government, personal health or safety concerns, or due to the program being canceled, will receive a full refund of the deposit and program fee they paid to Smith. Please note that the U.S. government will not issue refunds for SEVIS fees or for non-immigrant visa fees. We will not be offering refunds for the nonrefundable application fee.
If you have questions or concerns, please contact the summer precollege team at firstname.lastname@example.org or 413-585-2165.
