Eligibility

First-year students are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and have a valid passport in order to apply.

Deadline

 

The deadline for application to this program is Thursday, October 17, 2024, by 4:00 p.m. Applications that are incomplete at that time cannot be considered.

We are seeking applicants in good academic standing, with academic training and interests that are complementary to the program. One should be mature and culturally sensitive, with good interpersonal skills, and have the motivation and focus to succeed in an academically intensive and physically challenging environment. The Tibetan Studies in India Program is tremendously rewarding, and it can be life changing, but it is also challenging. With that in mind, please answer the following:

An unofficial transcript is acceptable. In order to submit your application you must attach your transcript.

In order to apply for the program, your passport must be valid through July 2025. Your passport must also have at least two blank visa pages. Both of these requirements are necessary for your visa application to be processed by the India Consulate. In order to submit your application you must attach your passport scan.
