Smith College Museum of Art is now free to everyone! SCMA is recognized as a leading academic museum, contributing meaningfully to Smith College’s mission to educate women of promise for lives of distinction and purpose. We welcome about 35,000 visitors a year, including Five College students, staff and faculty, and visitors from the region and around the world. The museum’s collection now comprises more than 27,000 objects, representing the diversity of art and material culture across periods and geographies.

“Radical Visions: The Art of Protest Posters” Exhibit

Bold declarations, engaging artwork, and provocative imagery are at the heart of Radical Visions: The Art of Protest Posters, a new exhibit featuring social, political, and cultural protest posters throughout the 20th century.

Presented by the Smith Office for the Arts (SOFA), in collaboration with Smith College Special Collections and Libraries, the exhibit is displayed on the gallery wall located on the ground floor of Neilson Library and runs September 22, 2023 through January 30, 2024.
