Finding a Local Therapist

Finding a New Private Practice Provider

  • PsychologyToday lists a range of private practice providers, based in Northampton, or expanded to include all of Massachusetts (and these therapists can provide telehealth therapy to you here on campus).
  • Feel free to play with the filters to look based on your insurance, identity markers that are important to you, clinical speciality, and different geographic areas.
  • Each therapist will not be able to accept all insurances and some may be cash-based.
  • Some may be full to new clients, however you can email each one directly right through their profile on this one website.

Finding a Private Practice Therapist Through Your Insurance

  • If you have the insurance provided by the college (BCBS), you can use the Gallagher Student app to help find providers.
  • If you have another insurance, go to your insurance company’s website and search for “behavioral health provider”
