Inauguration Celebration Kit
Alumnae who couldn’t make it to campus for the inauguration of President Kathleen McCartney had opportunities to join in the celebration through their local Smith clubs. The Office of Alumnae Relations developed an inauguration celebration kit to assist clubs and groups in their planning. The kit included an array of materials introducing President McCartney, including lists of her favorite songs, books and family recipes, along with information about past Smith presidents.
“This is our way of extending the excitement of the inauguration to alumnae around the world,” said Jennifer Chrisler ’92, vice president for alumnae relations and executive director of the Alumnae Association. “We want alumnae everywhere to feel part of one of Smith’s most important celebrations.” Smith clubs are being encouraged to organize viewing parties of the live stream and to host events in the weeks following the inauguration.
