Biography

ej seibert ’08 returned to work at Smith in 2022, and has been in ARC and Student Affairs prior to OEI. They have worked at UMass, Westfield State University, and in community health clinics. They are a social worker and writer. ej has published articles in The National Teaching and Learning Forum on resilience-informed teaching and the concept of “glimmers,” everyday moments that boost our joy and rewire our brains. They have completed a draft of their first novel. While a student at Smith, ej lived in Baldwin House, majored in American studies, minored in English, and pole vaulted on the track team. Their work in the world is guided by intersections of collective healing, anti-oppressive education, transformative embodied learning, connection with the natural world, and contemplative practice.
