Blair Bentley

Visiting Assistant Professor of Biological Sciences

Biography

Blair Bentley is an integrative biologist focusing on the impacts of climate change on wildlife populations, with a focus on marine systems. His research intersects the disciplines of ecophysiology, evolutionary biology, and conservation, applying molecular techniques to understand responses across all biological levels. Blair’s primary research interests center around understanding local adaptation and how changing environments will shape future populations, with an emphasis on understanding temperature-dependent sex determination using sea turtles as a model. His research uses cutting-edge molecular techniques to answer fundamental and applied questions of resilience.
