Smith Named Among the Top 10 Schools for Female Entrepreneurs

In naming Smith to their top 10 list for Schools for Female Entrepreneurs Who Want to Change the World, College Magazine said “This all women’s college in the Boston area gives female entrepreneurs a once in a lifetime experience. The Jill Ker Conway Innovation & Entrepreneurship Center, named after the college’s first female president, encourages a community that allows women to test their original ideas while fostering research and education….Throughout the year, the center holds programs and events such as speakers and workshops as well as the Draper Competition, the Global Financial Institutions Concentration and the University Innovation Fellows program.”

We are grateful to the anonymous donor who endowed the Center with a $5-million challenge gift in President Emerita Jill Ker Conway’s name last fall, as well as to Melissa Draper ’77 and her husband Tim for funding the annual Draper Competition.
