The Lost Boys of Montauk: The True Story of the Wind Blown, Four Men Who Vanished at Sea, and the Survivors They Left Behind, by Amanda M. Fairbanks (Amanda Millner ’03), is garnering high praise from critics, including a starred review from Kirkus.

""As a Sag Harbor, New York, resident and former reporter for The East Hampton Star, Fairbanks has a special window into the Hamptons community that she deftly uses in her telling of the true story of the tragic shipwreck of the Wind Blown—a commercial fishing boat lost at sea off the coast of Montauk in 1984. Fairbanks not only looks at what led to the vessel’s sinking, but also explores the grief of family and friends and the complex class structure that makes up the Hamptons.
