Celebrating Collaborations: Students and Faculty Working Together is a daylong event that showcases the scholarly work and innovative research of Smith students and their faculty collaborators.
Each year, students present the results of their senior theses, independent study projects, research seminars and other creative work through talks, panels, poster sessions, exhibits and performances.
Collaborations includes projects from every department on campus—from the sciences to the performing arts to the humanities. The event, a project of the Committee on Academic Priorities, celebrates the breadth of a liberal arts education at Smith and helps showcase the extraordinary scholarly achievements of students.
The 14th annual Celebrating Collaborations drew more than 460 students and 170 faculty members from numerous disciplines at Smith. The following three videos capture the spirit of the event by showing what happened when students and their faculty collaborators were asked to describe their projects in five words.
