About Dean Rossi-Reder

Andrea Rossi-Reder is the dean of the sophomore and Ada Comstock Scholars classes. She holds a master’s and doctorate in medieval studies from the University of Connecticut, and a bachelor’s in medieval studies from Mount Holyoke College. She was a class dean at Connecticut College for 11 years before coming to Smith.

She provides counseling about academic matters, such as college requirements, monitoring credit loads, graduation status, and exceptions to academic rules in conjunction with the Academic Board. She provides referrals to both academic and nonacademic resources.
