Guest Lecture on Disability Healthcare Equity

Dr. Michelle Meade, Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation and Family Medicine at University of Michigan, will deliver a virtual guest lecture on Disability Healthcare Equity as one of the guest lectures in the Disability Inclusion and Data Analytics (SDS 300) research seminar course on March 6, 2026, at 1:20 PM. This guest lecture will be open to the entire Smith community. Dr. Meade’s research focuses on enhancing health and participation and reducing healthcare disparities and costs among disabled individuals. Her expertise in health and healthcare disparities and disability is relevant and very valuable for students to gain deeper insights into the disability and healthcare domain/context. Her talk will also draw broader interest among Smith students, faculty, and staff in the latest research in disparities in health and healthcare and interventions as well as current events on health and healthcare.
