Gamelan 30th Anniversary Concert

The Smith College Gamelan Ensemble celebrates 30 years of music-making with a special anniversary event. In the style of a Javanese klenèngan, light refreshments and drinks will be served, audience members may come and go freely, and any former gamelan members present may partake in the music-making. Featured guests include former directors of the Smith Gamelan. Traditional Javanese gamelan ranges from the slow and serene to the lively and joyful, played on bronze percussion, drums, and many other instruments. Free and open to the public.
