Presented by Gretchen Groggel Ralson, Vice President and General Counsel

This session will explore academic freedom and how it applies to teaching, scholarship, and faculty expression. We'll examine some of the more challenging issues that arise in this area: how do academic freedom and other institutional policies interact?;  does faculty expression ever fall outside the scope of academic freedom?;  what happens when classroom speech is controversial?
