Kelly Vogel’s main interest is improving the way students learn, with an emphasis on supporting executive function and self-regulation. She is a former lecturer of IDP 136: Applied Learning Strategies, and is currently a lecturer of IDP 132: Designing Your Path. Designing Your Path integrates human-centered design to help students navigate the complex intersection of the curricular and the co-curricular.
Vogel received her bachelor’s degree in English from Syracuse University and her master’s in English literature from Mills College. After more than 15 years as a teacher of English literature and composition, she pursued course work in educational psychology, shifting her academic focus to support student agency, engagement and autonomy—keys to student learning both inside the classroom and out.
