Balinda Craig-Quijada

Biography

Balinda Craig-Quijada is a professor of dance at Kenyon College, where she directs the dance program and teaches contemporary modern dance, dance history, ballet and choreography. This year, while on sabbatical from Kenyon College, she is conducting research in Northampton and teaching DAN 252 Intermediate Contemporary Dance Composition at Smith College. She received an M.F.A from Ohio State University and taught there from 1998–2000. She served on the board of The American College Dance Festival for twelve years, most recently as director of the East-Central region. Craig-Quijada has shared her research on interdisciplinary teaching at the National Dance Education Organization and is author of the children’s book Dance for Fun! (2004).
