Angie Gregory

Through an internship with CEEDS, I collaborated with a research fellow from the Technology Innovation Center for Development (itdUPM) in Spain to better understand their frameworks for addressing complex problems through bridging academic research and social issues in the community. Not only did I gain a better understanding of how we, at Smith, might be of better service to social innovation and climate change in our community, but I also expanded my connection to this type of work globally.

“My research has inspired my commitment to elevating project-based learning and formalizing city-college partnerships as a way to bring theory into practice for scholars across campus.”

After my internship, I continued my research through a special studies project at CEEDS, where I created a framework for collaboration to promote social innovation through multi-actor partnerships. My research through CEEDS has inspired my commitment to elevating project-based learning and formalizing city-college partnerships as a way to bring theory into practice for scholars across campus.
