Harriet Wright ’22

Now located: Seattle, Washington

Me, in three words: Thoughtful, optimistic and fun!

If you had to skywrite a message to fellow Smithies, what would it say?
We are here to help each other.

If you could go back in time and tell yourself what to expect, what would it be?
I would tell myself to go to more office hours with professors and to write long letters to friends.

“I am grateful that the whole Smith community accepts me as I am and continues to accept me as I change.”

What’s one way that you keep in touch with friends right now?
My friends and I have been sharing pictures of all the crafts (like embroidery and flower boxes) we’ve made in our group chat. I try my best to FaceTime at least one friend once a day which has helped with the adjustment into social isolation!

What’s one message you’d say to incoming students about being at Smith?
Smith (and its members) will support you. You will always find people in your corner.

Is there any other message you'd like to include to the wider Smith community?
I am grateful that the whole Smith community accepts me as I am and continues to accept me as I change.
