About the Senior Dean

Margaret Bruzelius is the interim dean of the senior class and associate dean of the college. She became a class dean in 2000 and retired as senior class dean in 2017. Bruzelius teaches one course a year for the Program in World Literatures. She holds a bachelor’s from Harvard, an associate’s in fashion design from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York, and a doctorate from Yale.

As a child, she lived in Brazil, Argentina, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Before starting college, Bruzelius spent a year living in Copenhagen as a weaver’s apprentice. Her hobbies include knitting, thrift shopping, textiles and clothes.

To Meet with Dean Bruzelius

Self-scheduled 10-minute appointments are offered on the following days (Eastern time):

Monday 3-4p.m.
Tuesday 11a.m.-noon
Thursday 4-5p.m.

Self-scheduled 30-minute appointments are offered on the following days (Eastern time):

Monday 1-1:30p.m. or 1:30-2p.m.
Thursday 11-11:30a.m. or 11:30-noon or 12-12:30p.m.
Friday 2:30-3p.m. or 3-3:30p.m.
