Claire Anton ’25

If you had to create a synonym for the word “Smithie,” what would it be?
A fitting synonym for a Smithie I would say is “a hardworking, independent, strong person with big dreams and ambitions to change the world for the better” or something along the lines of that.

Who gave you the best advice so far about coming to Smith and what was it?
This isn’t from one particular person but I’ve heard everything from “take classes you’d never see yourself taking” to “create a relationship with your professors” and to “take a class at another consortium college”.

What talent would you most like to grow and develop?
Not a talent, but I really want to develop my understanding of Hebrew!

If you could be an appliance, what one would you be and why?
One of my friends, Emma Kramer ’25, said “a mixer for cookie dough because you bring everyone together as one”

What’s one problem (big or small) you’ve worked on this year?
Motivation. Throughout the pandemic, everyone has struggled with motivation whether it was through school, work, etc. Applying to Smith definitely helped to keep me trying my absolute hardest in school!

Name one thing still on your bucket list:
Travel to every country (186 to go!)
