Pablo Frank Bolton is a lecturer in the computer science department at Smith College. He obtained his doctorate from George Washington University, focusing on building intuitive interfaces for human-robot interaction.
Frank Bolton’s focus is teaching. He teaches core subjects in computer science at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and is particularly interested in making CS more accessible for beginners and non-majors.
In addition to teaching, his research is currently focused on STEM, especially on the areas of identifying misconceptions, creating scalable and informative assessments, and the use of active learning techniques, such as learning by teaching, peer learning, and scaffolding in CS. He enjoys collaborating with colleagues in other fields where he might get to apply computer science and play with their data.
