Jess Pfeffer
Instructor in Summer Programs for Women, Gender & Representation
Biography
Jess R. Pfeffer received their Ph.D. in English from Tufts University. Their research thinks about how modern ideas of trans and queer theory intersect with texts from the English Renaissance. They have taught courses on queer narratives, gender studies and visual culture at colleges in the greater Boston area. They have also taught English at the high school level and work with students to help them develop good academic and study habits. When they aren’t working, Jess is hiking with their dog, making Memphis-style BBQ (where they grew up!), or growing their skills as a wheel-throwing potter.
