David DeSwert

David DeSwert joined Smith in 2007 and serves as a member of the president’s team. He provides strategic oversight of essential operations and services that enable the college’s mission, including finance, information technology services, enterprise risk management, campus services, maintenance and operations, and sustainable capital programs. Through thoughtful stewardship and long-term strategic and operational planning, he ensures that Smith’s resources are directly aligned with its academic mission and institutional values. David holds a bachelor’s degree in history from the University of California, Berkeley, and a master’s degree in urban planning from the University of Southern California Sol Price School of Public Policy.
