The Smith community is invited to participate in several upcoming and ongoing events intended to inspire dialogue on campus following recent incidents challenging the college’s commitment to welcoming diversity and celebrating difference.

From Tuesday, April 10, through Friday, April 13, all on campus are invited to tell their Smith stories through video, audio or the written word, using computers and microphones set up at three campus locations: Campus Center Green Room, open 7:30 a.m.-midnight; Neilson 2/51, open 7:30 a.m.-1 a.m.; and the Chapel Reading Room (room B13), open 7:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. For more details, read a letter to the Smith community from Dean of the College Maureen Mahoney.

On Tuesday, April 10, a workshop, “How Allies Can Help,” was held for student leaders.

Friday, April 13

Intergroup Dialogue on Race, 10 a.m.-noon, in Unity House

Intergroup Dialogue on Sexual Orientation, 1:30-3:30 p.m., Resource Center for Sexuality and Gender
