Printing Options
Print to FollowMe Virtual Printers (Secure Release Printing): Using FollowMe virtual printers (sometimes referred to as FollowMe queues) allows print jobs to be held in a queue until the user physically goes to a supported printer, logs in, and releases the job for printing. It is especially useful when printing documents with sensitive or confidential information since the documents only print after the user releases the job. Since FollowMe works on many printers across campus, it is a convenient method when a user wants to print to a printer that has not been set up for direct printing on their computer. (See the next item for more information about direct printing.)
Direct Printing to Specific Printer Devices: This option allows a user to send a print job to a specific MFD or HP printer from a Smith-assigned computer. Once sent, the job prints immediately. Before users can print directly to a specific printer, users must install the corresponding printer queue on their Smith computer.
Mobility Print: PaperCut Mobility Print is a secure network print service for your iOS, Windows, macOS, and Android devices.
Email to Print: As an alternative to printing from an application on your computer, users can print documents by emailing them to a FollowMe email address. Documents to be printed are sent as attachments in the email. Note that documents must be in a format that is supported by this method.
