Panel of India's Gardens A typical view in the great Botanical Garden in Calcutta, India, where one may find many beautiful Indian plants, but all treated in an unmistakably English manner.
A court in one of the Maharaja's palaces, Jaipur, India. Here a vine has even been trained to grow on the walls. This palace was turned into a school and shows the modern treatment of courtyards.
The Khas Mahal and the Angoori Bagh or "Grape Garden," with the tower of the Summan Burj to be seen to the left. This building is a pleasure house, with water channels running through it and flowing into the tank in front. From there it flows over a cascade into the garden and to the central tank, India.
