Service Alerts and Updates
Moodle Service issues (Friday 9/29 4:00 pm) - Moodle is indicated that they have resolved the issues that were affecting access and the platform has continued to operate normally throughout the afternoon. We will continue to monitor and provide updates as information becomes available.


Release of new macOS Sonoma (v14.0) - Apple?s new macOS, Sonoma (v14.0) was released on September 26, 2023. As with all previous macOS releases, we do not recommend upgrading your Smith-owned computers to Sonoma at this time. If you are prompted to update, please dismiss the prompt until further notice. After the new OS has been vetted by ITS and our campus partners, we will provide an updated notice.


Pulse Secure Update - As of May 2023, the VPN client has a new name, Ivanti Secure Access, and a new red logo. Users might see a prompt to upgrade when they use Pulse Secure. Even if you aren't prompted, you should update at your earliest opportunity to ensure uninterrupted access to Smith resources. To manually update, uninstall Pulse Secure and install the Ivanti client available at smith.edu/smithsoftware/ The new red icon will automatically appear though you may need to pin or dock it. Reminder when connecting: At the Secondary Password prompt, enter your preferred method for Duo, commonly push or phone.
