The Registrar's Office maintains the permanent
academic records of all students. In addition, the office is responsible for course
registration, classroom scheduling, transcripts, transfer credit, certification of
enrollments, issuing diplomas, and producing the Schedule of Classes.
BannerWeb@Smith is
a secure site, available to all current Smith students, which provides student access
to academic and financial records.
Registrar's Open Hours
Wednesdays 2-3:30 p.m. during the academic year.

Entering Students
An online version of the How to Register booklet is published here.
Departmental placement exams and consultations
for entering students will take place on Monday September 1st. For more infomation, please review our Departmental Placements webpage.
Spanish Placement examination
First year students who intend to take a placement examination in Spanish and have not already taken the online exam should do so by September 1st. Information and instructions are posted on our webpage at Placement Exams.
Opening of College Fall 2008
Continuing students may find information concerning Central Check-in and the return to campus here.
Course Registration and Changes
Returning students may access BannerWeb registration beginning at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 4th. Students should contact their advisers to seek approval of course changes and to obtain new fall REG codes. Students should plan to attend the first class meeting before adding a course to their schedule, and are required to do so before adding a limited course. Instructors are not required to hold spaces for students who do not attend the first class meeting.
