Council Invitation: Step Inside for Cookies and
Warm Drinks

you tired of interacting with your Smith colleagues electronically?
Could you use some face time over a warm beverage and sweet
dessert?
Smith’s Staff Council has the answer. All staff
and faculty members are invited to a holiday Cookie and Hot
Chocolate gathering on Tuesday, Dec. 8, from 2 to 4 p.m.
in the Campus Center Carroll Room.
The gathering will feature
soothing live music, thawing hot chocolate and coffee, and
delectable cookies. Also, those inclined will be invited
to decorate their own cookies.
“This gives people a chance to step away from their desks, even if only for a
few minutes, and mingle with their co-workers,” explained Scott Morin, staff
accountant in the controller’s office, and a Staff Council member.
The Cookie
and Hot Chocolate event replaces the Holiday Hoopla from
past years, and is scheduled in the afternoon to better accommodate
employees’ schedules, said Morin.
The
event, coordinated by Staff Council, is co-sponsored by the
Office of the President. |
