Publish your announcement or publicize important
Smith information by submitting items to the Smith eDigest. Items for eDigest are
limited to official Smith business. We reserve the right to edit submissions.
The Smith eDigest is sent to all campus e-mail accounts
on Tuesday and Thursday each week during the academic year and on Tuesdays during
the summer, providing important notices, college news and other information. eDigest
items must be submitted by 5 p.m. on the day prior to the next edition's distribution.

To discuss a story idea of interest to the
Smith community, contact Eric Weld (at least two weeks in advance of an event) at
(413) 585-2171 or send e-mail to eweld@smith.edu.
We welcome your submissions. If you — or someone you know in the Smith community
— have recently received an award, participated in an interesting event, or
are involved in an important endeavor, please let us know.
To have your event information submitted to
the Five College calendar, choose “publicity” as an event resource in
your event’s 25Live record
and select “Five College calendar.”
To have your event information sent to local
media calendars, select “publicity” as an event resource in your event’s
25Live record and choose “local media calendars.” This should be done
at least three weeks in advance to accommodate deadline schedules.
If you think your event or information is particularly
newsworthy and may warrant some feature treatment off campus, contact Kristen
Cole, media relations director, at least one month in advance to discuss other
types of promotion that may be appropriate. |
