Fire Temporarily Shuts Business Near Smith
Fire officials ordered East
Heaven Hot Tubs on West Street to close temporarily on Tuesday,
April 27, following a minor blaze in the clothes dryer in
the basement of the building, which is owned by Smith, located
across from Garrison Hall and Forbes Library.
No injuries were reported in
the 10:30 a.m. fire, which was contained to the dryer. The
business suffered smoke and water damage.
No other storefronts or business
spaces were damaged.
West Street was temporarily closed as firefighters contained
a minor blaze at East Heaven Hot Tubs. |

Northampton firefighters donned protective gear to enter
the West St. business. No injuries occurred during the
fire. |
