Smith Crews Race at National Invitational Collegiate Regatta
The Smith crews raced in the 2008 National Invitational Collegiate Regatta held Saturday and Sunday at Lake Quinsigamond in Worcester and finished in fifth place in the Women's Point Trophy with 43 points. Ithaca won the points trophy with 63 points, followed by Holy Cross (57), Williams and Trinity with 54.

Lacrosse Falls to Wellesley in Quarterfinals of NEWMAC Championship
Senior Sara Smyth (Brooklyn, NY) and first year Caitlin Kennedy (South Hadley, MA) each scored three goals for the Pioneers in Smith's 13-7 loss to Wellesley in the quarterfinals of the 2008 New England Women's and Men's Athletic Conference (NEWMAC) Lacrosse Championship. The Pioneers end the season 5-10 overall while Wellesley advances in the tournament.

Smith Athletes Honored at Annual Sports Banquet
Over 250 Smith student-athletes, coaches, administrators and guests were in attendance last night at the Department of Athletics annual awards banquet. Guest speaker, Victoria "Tori" Murden McClure '85, opened the festivities and received a standing ovation and cheers of appreciation at the conclusion of her "Ten Commandments for Women in Sport."

Crew Participates in Inagural Malden River Spirit Regatta
Smith crew raced Tufts, Wellesley, and Simmons at Tufts University's new course on the Malden River. Due to the narrow course only two teams could race at a given time.
