Emma Reim
Swimming and Diving

First year distance swimmer Emma Reim (Ledyard, CT) won the 200 free in 2:06.83, was second in the 100 fly and finished 1st in the 500 free with a lifetime best time of 5:34.66.

Mackenzie Bradley
Swimming and Diving

First year distance swimmer Mackenzie Bradley (Sherwood, OR) won the 1000 free in her lifetime best time of 11:36.52. She also finished 2nd in the 500 free with a season best time of 5:40.12.

Sophomore Emma Peck Coffin (Carrabassett Valley, ME) took first place in Giant Slalom in the Boston College Carnival held at Wildcat, NH (2:05.95).

Smith Competes in Seven Sisters Championship Squash Tournament
In the first round, Smith faced the #10 ranked team, Vassar College and lost 9-0, but came back later in the day to beatWellesley with an impressive 7-2 score.

Women's Basketball: Pioneers Sink Coast Guard
Three Pioneer women scored in the double digits today, as Smith took down opponent Coast Guard Academy. Smith is still looking to secure home court advantage for the upcoming NEWMAC playoffs, as they are now at 11-8 on the season (8-6 in NEWMAC). Coast Guard, on the other hand, dropped to 5-14 today (3-11 in NEWMAC).

Track & Field Hosts Tartan Invitational
Smith College hosted the annual Tartan Invitational on Saturday. Sixteen teams competed in the meet, with WPI winning the men's meet and Amherst College outdueling Worcester State for the women's team title.

Swimming & Diving Win at Home Against MHC
At the last home meet of the season Smith beat Mount Holyoke College 167-133. Before the meet Coach Kim Bierwert and team honored the following seniors: Rachel Dorset(Stratford, CT), Christine Dzialo (Belchertown, MA), Adrienne Klein (Shrewsbury, MA), and Faith Latella (Douglstown, NY). Graduate student and Assistant Coach Marlene Pineda is also in her final year at Smith. All graduating members of the team and coaching staff have made great contributions to the team and will be missed greatly next year.

Schelde Leads Pioneers to Victory Over Mount Holyoke
#24 Berit Schelde (Holstebro, DENMARK) scored a game high 22 points tonight to lead the Pioneers to a 53-35 victory over host Mount Holyoke College. With the win, Smith moves to 10-8 on the season (7-6 in NEWMAC), while MHC drops to 6-14 (4-9 in NEWMAC).

Smith Hosts National Girls & Women in Sports Day; Introduces Flag Football
Yesterday, Smith Athletics hosted its annual National Girls & Women in Sports (NGWSD) Day clinics. For more than 15 years, Smith has opened its facilities to local 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade girls as they are introduced to many of the 14 varsity sports and club sports that the Pioneers offer.
