These machine-made pots are typical of what was produced in the United States in the first half of the 20th century. There were thousands of flowerpot designs and dozens of manufacturers, including McCoy, Roseville, Robinson Ramsbottom, Bauer, and Weller.

The elegant glazed strawberry planter is from central North Carolina and is attributed to potter Waymon Cole
