America In Decline

This book summarizes the Center's studies to date, placing them within the context of the theoretical framework noted in the Director's statement. The earlier volumes in the series, especially the new studies of education, philanthropy, television, and motion pictures will ensure that this book receives attention. The title has been changed a number of times. I suspect that I will remain with this one.

A good first draft of the book has been completed. Our society is changing so fast, that I must run to stand still. For example, I need to revise the sections on feminism and the environmental movement. As of now, I expect to finish the manuscript by 2005.
