Michelle Joffroy earned her Ph.D. from the University of Arizona.
Joffroy teaches courses on the U.S.-Mexico borderlands, culture and identity in Latin America, and Spanish for heritage speakers. Her research focuses on questions of gender and representation in border narratives of the northern Mexican border, as well as post-1968 women's writing in Mexico.
