Concentrations
For the major in the Study of Women in Gender, at least three of the student's courses will be in one of the following concentrations, with at least one of the courses at the 300 level.
The goal of this designation of concentration is for students to develop depth in a discipline or field within the study of women and gender, with special attention to the methodologies that shape the concentration.
- Queer Studies
- Women, Race and Culture
- Forms of literary and artistic expression {L/A}
Literature, film studies, fine and/or performing arts (including courses designated as literature or the arts in the Latin honors categories.) - Historical perspectives {H}
History (including art history, music history and other courses designated as historical studies in the Latin honors categories.) - Forms of political/social/economic thought/action/organization {S}
Political and social sciences (including courses designated as social science in the Latin honors categories.) - Scientific inquiry {S/M}
The sciences, including psychology and exercise and sports studies (including courses designated as natural science, mathematics and analytical philosophy in the Latin honors categories.)
