National Teach-In on Global Warming Solutions

On Thursday, Feb. 5, Smith will participate in the National Teach-In on Global Warming Solutions. The all-day event will begin at noon in the Campus Center and continue through the evening.

At the beginning of the first 100 days of the new administration, the National Teach-In on Global Warming will engage over a million Americans in solutions-driven dialogue. All are welcome.

Schedule of lectures:
12 noon - "Transportation Transformation: How Getting from A to B Affects the planet" with James Lowenthal (AST) in Campus Center 103 (pizza lunch)

12 noon - "Making the Consumption/Global Climate Change Connection" with Roger Guzowski (Five College Recycling Coordinator) in Campus Center 205 (pizza lunch)

4:15 p.m. - "Can Life on Earth Stand the Heat? Biodiversity and Climate Change" with David Smith (BIO) in Campus Center 102 (tea and conversation)

4:15 p.m. - "Climate Change and Water: Flood or Drought?" with Andrew Guswa (EGR) in Campus Center 103 (tea and conversation)

7 p.m. "Thin Ice: An Exploration of the Bering Sea in the Age of Climate Change" with Tom Litwin (BIO) in McConnell B05
