Igor Sikorsky Scholarship Program (ISSP)
ISSP’s mission is to encourage African-American, Hispanic-American and Native-American students to excel in their engineering curriculum and pursue a career in the rotorcraft industry.  The goal of this scholarship program is to prepare participants to become eligible for an opportunity for full time employment at Sikorsky Aircraft, and provide appropriate training and job assignments geared toward development of a meaningful technical career.  The Igor Sikorsky Scholarship is intended to provide financial assistance to talented African-American, Hispanic-American and Native-American students pursuing studies in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical/Materials Engineering, Electrical/Computer Engineering or Computer Science.   Each year students are selected from the first-year and sophomore class applicants to receive the Igor Sikorsky Scholarship. Nanotechnology 2010 Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE)
A ten-week summer undergraduate research program in Nanoscale Device Development at UMass Amherst.  Participants work on cutting-edge research projects with faculty mentors and graduate student labmates.  Stipend and lodging assistance is provided.  Application forms will be available online soon, application deadline 2/28/10.
