Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN)
The Public Leadership Education Network (PLEN) is the only national organization whose sole mission is preparing women for public leadership.  PLEN brings hundreds of women students from colleges and universities across the country to Washington, D.C. to experience first-hand how public policy is shaped and implemented at the national level.
 

Presidential Management Fellows

White House Fellows Program - White House Fellowships offer exceptional young men and women first-hand experience working at the highest levels of the federal government.

California Senate Fellows Program - Established in 1973 to provide participants with insight into the legislative process. The fellowship program's primary goals include exposing people with diverse life experiences and backgrounds to the legislative process and providing research and other professional staff assistance to the Senate.

Health and Human Services Emerging Leaders Program - Designed to recruit high potential employees and provide fast track development highlighting leadership and business skills through experiential learning and training. This program is one of the recruitment tools used by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) to hires exceptional interns with a variety of backgrounds for the effective analysis and execution of our programs. The program recruits for GS-9 level positions in the following career tracks: Administrative, Information Technology, Public Health, Scientific, and Social Science. Please note: not all career tracks recruit each year.

Maryland Governor’s Policy Fellows Program is a two-year, post-graduate program that seeks to bring the nation’s most distinguished policy graduates to serve in the Maryland State Government. 

U.S. Department of Labor Commissioner’s Leadership Program - Designed to attract and retain an exceptional group of Economists, Mathematical Statisticians, Information Technology Specialists, and Administrative Professionals (entry at the GS-9 level) who will develop expertise across Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS) programs through rotational assignments.

U.S. Housing and Urban Development Intern Program - Designed to help recruit and attract exceptional individuals to a broad spectrum of occupations within HUD.  The program offers interns professional experiences and formal training opportunities that are tailored to meet their educational and professional goals and interests.
