A Halloween Bash in the Quad

Smith’s Quadrangle will be haunted with Halloween activity this Friday, October 31, from 4 to 6 p.m., when the House Presidents Association invites children from the community to show up in costume, get some candy and participate in fun and scary events.

Sixteen houses are participating in the Quad's Halloween party and will be handing out candy to young attendees. Also, each Quad house will set up tables with various activities, such as face-painting, pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, assorted games and, of course, trick or treating. Meanwhile, students in Martha Wilson house will conduct a haunted trail only for the brave.

The House President’s Association consists of student residence leaders from all 35 campus houses. The Halloween event is sponsored by the Office of College Relations. Student volunteers will supervise the activities.

“I think this is going to be really exciting for all the kids,” says Lorian Jenkins ’05, the president of Parsons Complex and an event organizer.

Attendees—especially children—are encouraged to wear Halloween costumes.

Happy Halloween!
