Alumnae usually say two things when they find out about the Center for Women and Financial Independence: "I wish this had been around when I was at Smith!" and "Do you have anything for alumnae?"

The answer to that question is "Yes!"

Mentoring Opportunities

For more information about becoming an Alumna Mentor to a student entrepreneur send an email to Rene Heavlow, Director of the Center for WFI.

Attend Classes & Workshops

Not only are all alumnae welcome to come to the Center and attend our classes and workshops, but are also invited to utilize the extensive resources housed in the Center (located in the Neilson Archway).

Alumnae Open House

WFI hosts an Alumnae Open House during Reunion I/II weekends, so if you are going to be on campus, stop by and learn about the program first-hand from our students, faculty and staff. Times to be posted.

WFI On the Road

WFI has continued to increase alumnae outreach programs nationwide. Since Spring 2003, WFI has offered an alumnae program we call "WFI On the Road." Our director and participating faculty have given presentations to Smith Clubs across the country: Austin, Cambridge, Cape Cod, Cincinnati, Denver, Greenwich, Hartford, Houston, Los Angeles, Miami, New Haven, Northampton, Phoenix, Portland, Princeton, San Francisco, Seattle and Worcester.

Alumnae Outreach Program

Another initiative that we've offered is Alumnae Outreach Program, a full-day program of lectures and workshops offered in collaboration with the Alumnae Association of Smith College.
